Our headteacher is a Lincolnshire 'Local Leader of Education' (LLE).  This means that our school is involved in the direct support of other schools across Lincolnshire in cooperation with the National College for Teaching and Leadership, Lincolnshire County Council and CfBT (The Centre for British Teachers).

The following extract is from the Department for Education / National College for Teaching and Leadership website and gives a basic outline of what LLEs are briefed to achieve.

The aim of the Local Leaders of Education Programme is to improve pupil outcomes through partnership working between schools and academies. Local leaders of education are successful headteachers who work alongside other heads to drive forward improvements and build capacity to ensure that improvements can be sustained.

The National College work closely with local authorities, dioceses, teaching schools and other agencies to identify, recruit, train and deploy successful headteachers to work with other schools. The model has proved successful in raising attainment, not only in schools supported by LLEs, but also in the LLEsí own schools.
