Residential Trip - North Yorkshire

Home A-Z Contents List Back to Residentials

The 2016 Residential Trip to North Yorkshire was, as usual, based in Scarborough.

Each day we visited venues in the area which supported the work that we are doing, or have done, in Years 4, 5 and 6.

Each day has a page on the website - use the links below.

This year we stayed at the Stuart House Hotel on the North Bay.  The food was brilliant and the owners, Meg and Stuart and their sons, could not do too much to help us in our aim of making the children happy and content.  There were choices for every meal, even the packed lunches, and the owners went out of their way to ensure that every child was well fed.  The rooms were very good and the children did a great job of keeping them tidy and clean.  Use this link to go the The Stuart House Hotel website.

Year 6 boy The best things about the residential were the rooms and the National Railway Museum.
Y5 girl The thing I love about residential was everything.  It was great fun and I enjoyed it.  My favourite trip was Eden Camp.  I loved this holiday and give the Stuart House Hotel 5*
Y6 girl If I could come back I would - though sadly I can't.  It has been such fun.
Y5 boy One of the best moments was Eden Camp and the National Railway Museum.  The other places were good but those two stood out.  The rooms were comfortable and warm.  The hotel owners were very friendly and the views were mind blowingly beautiful.  The food was awesome too.
Y6 girl The hotel was great, the rooms were really good quality, the food was delicious and the owners were really nice.  The places we went to were also all excellent.
Y4 boy I loved Residential.  I am a Y4 so this was my first time.  My favourite was Eden Camp.  I am so fascinated by World War II.
Y6 girl This is my best Residential yet because of the food and the trips.  I would love to come on Residential yet but I can't.  I would come to this hotel again because it is so nice.  I am so sad that I won't be able to go on Residential again.
Y6 girl I really enjoyed all of the days and I am having a very good time with all of these amazing teachers and I hope they had fun too.
Y6 girl Thank you for taking us - I have loved it!
Y6 boy The hotel food is excellent!
Y5 boy I enjoyed the amazing stuff at Eden Camp.
Y5 boy My favourite part was Eden Camp.
Y4 girl Going for a walk on the beach was great fun. I liked the food - it was great!
