Does the school celebrate Saint George's Day? Yes
Why is this considered a special day? Our school is in England and therefore George is our patron saint.  Whilst we are very proactive in the international dimension and proud of our multicultural developments we are also proud of our own national heritage and keen to share it with others.
What happens in school? St George is always the focal point of assembly on his day.
The English flag is flown on the school flagpole.  Any pupils who are members of Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs or similar and have a uniform are invited to wear it to school for the day.
What if St George's Day is on a Saturday or Sunday? The celebration will be held on the nearest school day.
